بدنبال ۴ سال شایعه پراکنیِ راست‌گرایانه هواداران توطئه که با صدای بلند از تشکیلات دولتی آمریکا و کاخ سفید علیه آسیایی‌ها و مهاجرین بطور عام بلند می‌شد و پس از ظهور کوید-۱۹ افزایش یافت؛ با اندوه فراوان شاهد افزایش چشمگیر جنایات نفرت محور علیه آمریکاییان آسیایی تبار در ایالت متحده هستیم.
این هفته در ایالت جورجیا در حومه انتلانتا با حمله یک سفید پوست نژاد پرست ۸ نفر اماج این حملات شدند و در این حمله نفرت انگیز ۶ زن آسیایی جان خود را از دست دادند. متعاقبا حضور و بر خورد غیر مسئولانه پلیس در محل تیراندازی برای توجیه این جنایت باعث خشم و نفرت مهاجران در سراسر کشور شد.
ما آمریکاییان ایرانی تبار که قبلا یکبار در دهه ۸۰ در پی بحران سفارت در ایران با شدت بیشتری مورد تبعیض و رفتار غیرعادلانه قرار گرفته بودیم و همچنین در ۱۱ سپتامبر ۲۰۰۱ شاهد نفرت پراکنی علیه آمریکاییان مسلمان بودیم، ضرورت مبارزه جدی با نژاد پرستی و نفرت پراکنی را عمیقا احساس می‌کنیم.
شوربختانه نژاد پرستی در جامعه آمریکا ریشه تاریخی در استعمار و کلونیالیسم اروپائیانی دارد که به آمریکا مهاجرت کردند. مردم رنگین پوست، آفریقایی تبارها، لاتین‌ها، بومیان آمریکا، آسیایی‌ها، جزایر نشینان افیانوس آرام، مهاجرین جنوب آسیا و بسیاری دیگر کاملا با این تاریخ آشنا هستند و هر روز با آن روبرو می‌شوند.
دو رویداد در سال ۲۰۲۰، یکی کوید-۱۹ و دیگری کشته شدن جورج فلوید بدست پلیس مینه‌سوتا که تظاهرات گسترده‌ای را علیه نژادپرستی در سراسر کشور دامن زد شاهدی است بر تبعیض‌هایی که رنگ پوست و عدم دسترسی برابر به امکانات منشأ اصلی آن است. اثرات این نابرابری را هم در تبعیض در خدمات درمانی و مبارزه با کورونا در جهان می بینیم و هم در نحوه برخورد مأموران دولتی در مسیر اجرای قانون در مرکز دمکراسی و پایتخت سرمایه‌داری و تمدن غرب.
سازمان ما که برای عدالت اجتماعی، حقوق بشر و برابری مدنی در ایران مبارزه می‌کند؛ نمی‌تواند در برابر بی‌عدالتی و تبعیضی که بر رنگین پوستان در دنیا اعمال می‌شود بی تفاوت بماند. از این رو ما رفتار ناعادلانه با شهروندانمان، از اقوام، نژادها و ملیتهای دیگر را بشدت محکوم کرده و از دوستان، همکاران، همسایگان، خواهران و برادران خود در همه جوامع که برای رفع تبعیض و رفتار عادلانه و برابری حقوق مبارزه می‌کنند، حمایت می‌نمائیم.
در این مبارزه ما همه با هم هستیم.

We condemn in the strongest terms the unfair treatment of our citizens of other ethnicities, races, and nations.
It is with great disappointment and sadness to see the rise of hate crimes against Asian Americans in the US, with such gravity as we noticed in Georgia this week.
Following up on four years of rightwing conspiracy theorist rumor-mongering that was loudly dispatched from government establishment in the United States and White House against Asians which increased after the rise of COVID19, we witnessed a mass killing of eight people by a deranged white male in the suburbs of Atlanta that took the life of 6 female Asians. Furthermore, the disturbing language used by local law enforcement staff at the scene of the shootings to justify this atrocious behavior added salts to the wounds of the migrant communities around the country.
For us as Americans of Iranian descent, this wave is reminiscent of the memories of what some of us experienced back in the 80s in aftermath of the Embassy crisis in Iran, it is also a reminder of what Muslim Americans faced in aftermath of September 11th.
Racism in US society, unfortunately, has roots in the colonial history of this country and almost all European colonizer societies who have done little to resolve the reality of historical impacts they imposed on other people around the world. People of color, Africans, Latinx, Native Americans, Asians, Pacific Islanders, South Asians, and many others are too familiar with this history and face it every day.
۲۰۲۰ started with the COVID19 disaster and the uproar against racism displayed by the killing of George Floyd. Both, however, were testaments to the differences skin color makes, be it in the treatment and impacts of an international health disaster or be it regular treatment by law enforcement in the center of democracy and capital in the world.
Our organization that fights for Social Justice, Human and Equal Rights in Iran cannot be silent when it comes to the treatment of people of color anywhere else in the world. Thereby we condemn in the strongest terms the unfair treatment of our citizens of other ethnicities, races, and nations. We support our friends, colleagues, neighbors, sisters, and brothers of all societies in their fights for fair treatment and equal rights,
