سرکوب، بازداشت، شکنجه و مجازات اعدام در ایران همواره اهرمی برای به سکوت کشاندن مخالفان و فعالان سیاسی و حذف معترضان و دگراندیشان بوده است و پس از قیام شکوهمند «زن، زندگی، آزادی / ژن، ژیان، ئازادی»، بازداشت و اعدام در ایران به شدت افزایش یافته است. در زمان شاه و از ابتدای استقرار حاکمیت ارتجاعی اسلامی ایران، همواره از ابزار مذهب رسمی، برای حذف فعالان سیاسی و دگراندیشان سود برده‌اند و حتی به پیکر کشته شدگان و مردگان دگراندیش نیز رحم نکرده و خانواده‌های آن‌ها را مدام مورد تبعیض و تعرض قرار داده‌اند.
عزیزان ما را به جرم اعتقاد به آزادی، برابری و سوسیالیسم، یا در خیابان‌ها یا در زندان‌ها و در بیدادگاه‌های چند دقیقه‌ای به اعدام محکوم کرده و پشت درهای بسته تیرباران یا حلق آویز کردند. پیکر نازنین بسیاری از آن‌ها را نیز در گورهای فردی و جمعی خاوران و دیگر گورهای بی نام و نشان در سراسر ایران، شبانه و بدون اطلاع و حضور خانواده‌ها در زیر خاک پنهان کرده و تا کنون حقیقت را نگفته‌اند که چرا و چگونه آن مبارزان عاشق و جان‌های شیفته را اعدام کردند و چگونه و کجا به خاک سپردند و چرا مدام حقیقت را انکار یا تحریف می‌کنند.
حکومت اسلامی نه تنها بهترین و عاشق‌ترین انسان‌ها را کشت، بلکه بیش از چهار دهه است که تمام تلاش خود را می‌کند تا آثار جنایت‌هایش را پاک کند. با تخریب پیاپی خاوران و گورهای بی نام و نشان، یا با مجبور کردن بهاییان برای دفن فوت شدگان خود بر گورهای جمعی عزیزان ما، یا با دیوراکشی و نصب دوربین‌های مدار بسته، یا با دستگیری و تهدید خانواده‌های خاوران و جامعه بهایی، می‌خواهند خانواده‌ها را به سکوت بکشاند، ولی خانواده‌های خاوران محکم و مصمم بر عزم خود برای دادخواهی و دانستن حقیقت و زنده نگاه داشتن یاد عزیزان‌مان ایستاده‌اند و خانواده‌های بهایی نیز تن به این تعرض آشکار نمی دهند. در دی ماه سال ۱۳۸۷ نیز خاوران را بولدوزر انداختند و درب اصلی آن را در جاده لپه‌زنک قفل زدند و به احتمال زیاد استخوان‌های عزیزان ما را ربوده‌اند، ولی خانواده‌ها علیرغم تمام اذیت و آزارها، از در دیگر خاوران وارد شدند. از دو سال پیش نیز یازده فوت شده‌ی بهایی را به اجبار و بدون رضایت خانواده‌های بهایی بر گور جمعی عزیزان ما در خاوران دفن کرده‌اند.
ما خانواده‌های دهه‌ی ۶۰، علیرغم آنکه زخم ناشی از اعدام عزیزان‌مان و اذیت و آرازهای مدام حکومت بر تن و جان‌مان نشسته و با کشته شدن هر عزیزی، دوباره زخم های ما خون‌ریزی می‌کند و خشم‌مان افزوده می‌شود، ولی همواره تأکید کرده‌ایم که خواهان لغو مجازات اعدام، پایان دادن به هر گونه شکنجه، شلاق و سرکوب، و آزادی زندانیان سیاسی هستیم. تعدادی از ما را نیز در طی این سال‌ها مجبور کرده‌اند که دور از عزیزان‌مان، در تبعید زندگی کنیم و برخی هم‌چنان زیر اذیت و آزار شدید حکومت هستیم، ولی هرگز عقب ننشسته و صدای دیگر خانواده‌های دادخواه نیز بوده‌ایم. خانواده‌هایی که عزیزان‌شان در طی این سال‌ها و روزها در خیابان‌ها و در زندان‌ها کشته شده‌اند و هم‌اکنون زیر فشار شدید حکومت هستند و هر شب تن‌مان می لرزد که سحرگاه کدام عزیز را می‌خواهند اعدام کنند.
ما خواهان ساختن دنیایی بدون سرکوب، خشونت، جنایت، تبعیض و بی‌عدالتی هستیم و تمام تلاش خود را می‌کنیم تا از تکرار جنایت جلوگیری کنیم و سایر عزیزان‌مان و تمام مردم ایران بتوانند شاد و رها در آزادی، برابری، عدالت اجتماعی و صلح زندگی کنند و در هوای پاک نفس بکشند.
ما نیز می‌گوییم «هر یک جان عزیزی که جمهوری اسلامی می‌گیرد، باید به سندی برای محکومیت و رسوایی آن تبدیل شود، و این ممکن نیست مگر با همبسته شدن ما در قیام علیه اعدام». ما آرزوی‌مان این است که تمام آزادی‌خواهان، دادخواهان، دگراندیشان، فعالان سیاسی و مدنی و تمام آن‌ها که دل در گروی آزادی، برابری، عدالت اجتماعی و رفع هر گونه تبعیض در ایران دارند، مستقل از دولت‌ها، مستقل از احزاب و سازمان‌های سیاسی و مستقل از جریانات راست و سلطنت‌طلب، برای اقدام مشترک علیه اعدام و برای آزادی زندانیان سیاسی، چه در داخل و چه در خارج از ایران گرد هم جمع شویم تا بتوانیم قدرتمندتر و موثرتر گام برداریم.
بدین منظور ما امضاکنندگان زیر از خانواده‌های زندانیان سیاسی اعدام شده در دهه‌ی شصت از تجمع همبسته و سراسری نهادها و کلکتیوهای ایرانی چپ، دموکرات و فمینیست در نزدیک به بیست شهر جهان در سوم تیر ۱۴۰۲ (۲۴ ژوئن ۲۰۲۳) با فراخوان «فریاد مشترک ما همراه با مردم ایران – قیام علیه اعدام»، حمایت می‌کنیم و آرزوی موفقیت این اقدام مشترک و مؤثر و ادامه‌ی این راه همبسته را برای آن‌ها و همگی‌مان داریم.

The Solidarity of families of political prisoners executed in 1980s with the Iranian Protests worldwide with the slogan “Rise Against Executions”!
Suppression, arrest, torture, and capital punishment have always been tools used in Iran to silence political opponents and activists, and to eliminate protesters and dissenters. Following the glorious uprising of “woman, life, freedom” arrests and executions in Iran have significantly increased. During the Shah’s era and since the establishment of the Islamic reactionary regime in Iran, they have constantly used the official religion as a means to eliminate political activists and dissenters, showing no mercy even towards the dead bodies and buried dissidents, constantly discriminating against and attacking their families.
Our loved ones were sentenced to execution for believing in freedom, equality, and socialism, either in the streets or in brief trials, behind closed doors, where they were shot or hanged. Many of their dear bodies were buried in individual and mass graves in Khavaran and other nameless graves throughout Iran, in secret and without informing or involving their families. Until now, they have not revealed the truth of why and how they executed those passionate fighters and how and where they buried them, and why are they continuously denying or distorting the truth.
The Islamic government not only killed the best and most loving human beings but has also been trying for over four decades to erase the traces of its crimes. By repeatedly demolishing Khavaran and nameless graves, by forcing Bahá’ís to bury their deceased loved ones on mass graves of our dear ones, by surveillance cameras and making walls, by arresting and threatening Khavaran and Bahá’í families, they seek to silence the families. However, Khavaran families remain steadfast and determined in their resolve to seek justice, know the truth, and keep the memory of their loved ones alive. Bahá’í families also refuse to yield to this overt aggression. In December 2008, they bulldozed Khavaran and locked its main gate on Lappeh-zanak road, and most likely abducted the bones of our dear ones. Despite all the harassment and persecution, families continue to enter Khavaran from the other door. For the past two years, they have forcibly buried eleven deceased Bahá’ís in mass graves without the consent of Bahá’í families.
As families of executed political prisoners in 1980s, despite the wounds inflicted by the executions of our loved ones, the constant harassment of the regime affecting our lives and well-being, and the reopening of our wounds with each dear one killed, we have consistently emphasized our demand for the abolition of capital punishment, an end to torture, flogging, and suppression, and the release of political prisoners. Some of us have been forced to live in exile far from our loved ones, while others continue to suffer severe harassment from the government. Nevertheless, we have never backed down and have been the voices of other justice-seeking families. Families whose loved ones have been killed in the streets and prisons during these years and are now under severe government pressure, fearing which dear one they will execute each night.
We seek to build a world free from suppression, violence, discrimination, and injustice, and we strive to prevent the repetition of these crimes, allowing all our dear ones and the people of Iran to live happily and freely in the realms of freedom, equality, social justice, and peace, breathing fresh air.
We also say, “Each precious life taken by the Islamic Republic must become evidence of its condemnation and disgrace, and this can only be achieved by our solidarity in the uprising against executions.” Our wish is for all freedom-seekers, justice-seekers, dissenters, political and civil activists, and all those who have a heart for freedom, equality, social justice, and the elimination of all forms of discrimination in Iran to come together independently of governments, independent of political parties and organizations, and independent of right-wing and authoritarian movements. We gather in unity to take joint action against executions and for the freedom of political prisoners, both inside and outside of Iran, so that we can move forward stronger and more effectively.
To this end, we, the undersigned, families of political prisoners executed in 1980s support the worldwide protests of Iranian leftist, democratic, and feminist organizations, and collectives in nearly twenty cities worldwide on the June 24, 2023, under the slogan “Chant united with people of Iran- Rise Against Executions.” We wish success for this joint and impactful initiative and hope for its continuation in solidarity for all of us.
